The goals of this initiative are to (1) close existing cancer clinician competency gaps regarding newly approved and emerging therapies for TNBC and the management of unique side effects of these therapies, and (2) validate the feasibility of implementing a TNBC treatment-specific electronic Patient-Reported Outcomes (ePRO) tool in the oncology clinic and (3) provide focused education regarding the treatment of TNBC patients.
The target audience for this activity are U.S.-based medical oncologists, oncology Advanced Practice Providers, oncology nurses and nurse navigators.
After completing this activity, the participant should be better able to:
- Consider patient and disease characteristics (biomarkers) to guide treatment selection for patients with TNBC
- Apply the latest clinical findings and guideline recommendations to treatment selection for first and later lines of therapy
- Appropriately and promptly manage side effects associated with the newly approved agents used for the treatment of TNBC
- Explain the relevance and importance of employing an electronic Patient-Reported Outcomes (ePROs) screening tool to assess TNBC patient symptoms
